Mr. Bob’s story

From one online lesson to a complete English curriculum.

Mr. Bob has taught English online for more than ten years, working one-on-one with children and teens. His teaching system was originally developed for native Chinese speakers, but it is adaptable for ESL learners from many language backgrounds.

Over those years, one lesson at a time, he built something most private teachers never build: a real curriculum. Today his library includes hundreds of structured lessons covering story-based reading, phonics, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, writing, and advanced TOEFL-style materials.

Students usually stay with Mr. Bob for the long term, because the lessons are warm enough to enjoy and structured enough to show real progress.

Being prepared
Teaching philosophy

Warm enough to encourage. Structured enough to work.

Many online English classes are friendly but aimless: thirty minutes of chatting, a few games, and no clear path. Mr. Bob’s lessons are different by design.

Students produce, not just listen

In every lesson, students read aloud, answer in full sentences, explain their thinking, and correct their own mistakes. Real progress comes from output, not from watching a teacher perform.

Skills connect to each other

A story becomes vocabulary practice, a grammar point becomes a speaking task, and a discussion becomes a writing topic. Listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar reinforce each other.

Correction without fear

Mistakes are treated as normal steps, corrected clearly and kindly. Students stay willing to speak — which is exactly when accuracy training actually works.

What makes it different

More than a conversation class.

Free talking has its place — but children rarely build strong English from chat alone. Mr. Bob’s lessons combine friendly conversation with deliberate skill-building.

Each lesson has a purpose: a story, a skill, a grammar target, or a vocabulary set.
Lessons build on previous lessons, so knowledge is reviewed and kept — not forgotten.
Parents can see the path: where the student is now, and what comes next.
Advanced students can move into academic and TOEFL-style work when they are ready.
